Journey Through Space with the Maple City Community Orchestra for our annual family concert!

We’ll guide you through all your favorite interstellar and planetary journeys, and even travel to the moon with Goshen’s Mayor, Jeremy Stutsman! Beautiful images will be projected to accompany the music.

A Lifetime of Music, Continued

When he was a child, Dave Cunningham remembers admiring the instruments displayed on the pegboard band room wall, alongside his father, Gordon Cunningham. He remembers entering the fifth grade in Colby, Kansas where he grew up, and playing his first rental trombone. “I have known since at least the age of 3 that I was going to play a trombone all of my life,” he said.

This concert will feature music of Leroy Anderson. Guest soloist Kentucky T. Dutchersmith will perform Anderson’s ‘The Typewriter’. Also featured is the original ‘Star Wars Suite’ composed by John Williams. Admission is free and the public is warmly invited.
