Do you want to perform with the Maple City Community Orchestra?

Yes, we want you!

The orchestra is a community group made up primarily of devoted amateurs. The word “amateur” comes from the Latin word for lover, and that’s why we play: for the love of it. We are always interested in meeting like-minded people and welcome newcomers to the ensemble to fill open positions. Auditions may be required, depending on your instrument and your experience.

Most rehearsals are Tuesdays, beginning at 7:30 pm for the six weeks prior to each concert, with a Dress Rehearsal shortly before the concert. Players attend weekly rehearsals, and practice their parts individually. They also help promote concert attendance, help with the after-concert receptions, and support fund-raising activities through their own efforts and contacts. Musicians may also be invited to join the Board of Directors.

Each season, we present four concerts at Sauder Hall on the Goshen College campus. Concert admission is free.
