Please join the Maple City Community Orchestra and the Goshen College Youth Honors Orchestra for a joint concert on Saturday, February 28 at 7:30pm in the Sauder Concert Hall at Goshen College.
Titled “American Overtures”, this concert includes a variety of works from American composers, including Aaron Copeland’s “Outdoor Overture”, “Bal Masqué” by Amy Beach, “Dances in the Canebrakes” by Florence Price, and Samuel Barber’s “Adagio for Strings”. It also features two medleys from Broadway musicals — Leonard Bernstein’s “West Side Story” and Lin-Manuel Miranda’s “Hamilton”.
This concert is free and open to the public. Freewill donations are gratefully accepted at the door.

You are warmly invited to join the Maple City Community Orchestra and the Goshen Community Chorale for a free concert of inspirational and sacred music on Saturday, November 22 at 7:30pm in the Sauder Concert Hall at Goshen College.
This concert features two works by Johannes Brahms, including “Schicksalslied (Song of Destiny)” and the third movement of his “Requiem”.
Other pieces in this concert include “To Sit and Dream” – the words of poet Langston Hughes set to music by Rosephanye Powell; “Pie Jesu” from Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Requiem”; “There shall a star from Jacob rising” from Mendelssohn’s oratorio “Christus”; and “Take What You Need” by Reena Esmail.

The Maple City Community Orchestra invites you to our first concert of the 2025-2026 season on Sunday, October 19 at 4:00pm in the Sauder Concert Hall at Goshen College!
Titled “Across the Centuries”, this concert presents music from 1791 (Overture to Mozart’s opera “The Magic Flute”), 1809 (“Andante e Rondo ungarese” by Carl Maria von Weber), 1919 (“El sombrero de tres picos” or “The Three Cornered Hat” suite by Spanish/Argentinian composer Manuel de Falla), and 2013 (“Loco-motion” by Stella Sung).
This concert is free and open to the public. Freewill donations are gratefully accepted.
